CYMBALTA (DULOXETINE)

• Cymbalta should not be taken with MAO inhibitors.
• It should not be taken by children below the age of 18.
• Duloxetine is not meant for nursing mothers or pregnant women.

Side effects of Cymbalta that may occur while taking Duloxetine includes constipation, dry mouth, fever, frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, muscle aches, nausea, sleepiness or unusual drowsiness, sweating increased, vomiting and weight loss.

Cymbalta is used for treating the condition of feeling sad or despondent called Depression. It is also used to treat the condition of apprehension, uncertainty, and FEAR ( anxiety). Cymbalta works by changing the deranged chemicals in the brain that cause DEPRESSION

If a patient is using any MAO Inhibitor, he should not BUY Cymbalta. If used with them, it can cause serious side effects to the patient which can even cause death. There should be a gap of at least 15 days between the usage of MAO Inhibitor and Cymbalta.
If the patient is suffering from some eye disease such as Glaucoma, he should not use Duloxetine.
Cymbalta should not be used by pregnant ladies as it can cause harm to the unborn baby.

• Irregular Bowel movements
• Loss of apetite


Serious Side Effects:

• Pain in the stomach
• Low body temperature
• Dark colored urine
• Gray color of stool
• Jaundice
• Anxiety
• Visual perception
• Uncoordinated movements
• Stomach upset
• Change in Heart beat rate


Cymbalta Drug Interactions:


Cymbalta interacts with alcoholic drugs.

Other drugs with which it interacts are :
• cimetidine (Tagamet)
• linezolid (Zyvox)
• lithium (Lithobid, Eskalith)
• St. John?s wort
• tramadol (Ultram)
• tryptophan (sometimes called L-tryptophan)
• almotriptan (Axert), frovatriptan (Frova), sumatriptan (Imitrex), naratriptan (Amerge), rizatriptan (Maxalt), or zolmitriptan (Zomig); or
• antidepressants such as amitriptyline (Elavil), amoxapine (Ascendin), clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), escitalopram (Lexapro), fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem), fluvoxamine (Luvox), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), paroxetine (Paxil), protriptyline (Vivactil), sertraline (Zoloft), trimipramine (Surmontil), or venlafaxine (Effexor).

At the beginning of the treatment, adults are given a Cymbalta DOSE of 10 mg in a day. It may then be increased by the doctor depending on the patient?s condition. This medication should NOT be given to minors ( below the age of 18 ).
