General Information:
Claritin D is used for the treatment of nasal congestion(overfill). It contains Loratadine and Pseudoepherdrine sulfate as its ingredients. Claritin D is used to provide relief from blocked nose, excessive watering of the eyes, dries out sinus and relieves from other allergies. It is also called Claritin D 12 Hour tablet
Important Facts about Claritin D:
If the patient has used any drug that contained Loratadine ingredient and there was an allergic reaction to it, then he should not buy Claritin D since it contains the same ingredient.
The patient should not buy Claritin D if he is or was on any prescribed MAO Inhibitor drugs. This can cause serious reactions in the body.
If the patient is suffering from any heart disease, has his blood pressure shot up, thyroid disease, increase in sugar levels (diabetes), have an enlarged prostrate, or have liver and/or kidney disease, he should consult his doctor before buying Claritin-D.

Serious Side Effects:
The patient should immediately see his doctor if any of the following happens:
- Pounding heartbeat
- Involuntary and uncontrollable shaking .

- Mood swings
- Urination difficulty
Claritin D Drug Interactions:
- All high BP medications;
- Water pills
- medication to treat undesirable intestinal symptoms
- bladder or urinary medications like oxybutynin (Ditropan, Oxytrol) or tolterodine (Detrol)
- aspirin or salicylates (such as Disalcid, Doan's Pills, Dolobid, Salflex, Tricosal
- beta-blockers like atenolol (Tenormin), carteolol (Cartrol), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol), nadolol (Corgard), propranolol (Inderal), sotalol (Betapace), timolol Blocadren
- antidepressants such as amitriptyline (Elavil), clomipramine (Anafranil), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil)
