K9 Advantix is classified under Ticks and fleas and helps in killing fleas on dogs.

• K9 Advantix for dogs should be kept away from children.
• It should not be used on puppies below the age of 7 weeks.

General Information:

K9 Advantix prevents dogs from being attacked by fleas, ticks and other parasites. It safeguards your dog against all the mosquitoes, parasites, ticks fleas that plague them by sucking their blood and making their skin feel itchy and flaky. K9 Advantix contains 2 ingredients namely imidacloprid and permethrin. Imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid used topically on dogs for its sustained adulticidal activity against fleas. Permethrin is a medication used to rid the scalp of head lice. It works by paralyzing the lice, so that they cannot feed after hatching within the 24 hours required for survival.

Important facts about K9 Advantix:

Pregnant and nursing animals should be treated with K9 Advantix only with veterinarian recommendation.
The frequency of usage of this drug on dogs and puppies should be only once a month.

Then the hair on the back of the dog between the shoulders should be parted with hands and all the contents of the bottle should be emptied on this body part for dogs weighing up to 20 lbs. For dogs weighing above that, the contents of the bottle should be applied at 3-4 spots starting from shoulders at the back moving towards the tail. The empty container should be discarded later and the bottle should be stored in a cool and dry place.
