All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Possible side effects that occur during the use of MURO 128 (eye ointment) are: Burning, Irritation, Eye pain, Changes in vision, Continued redness, Irritation of the eye. Some medical conditions may interact with MURO 128 (eye ointment). Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

• if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
• if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
• if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances

Some important safety information:

1. Temporary blurred vision: MURO 128 (eye ointment) may cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous unless you can see clearly.
2. Do not swallow: MURO 128 (eye ointment) may be harmful if swallowed. If you may have taken MURO 128 (eye ointment) by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
3. PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using MURO 128 (eye ointment) during pregnancy. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using MURO 128 (eye ointment) , check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

MURO 128 (eye ointment) belongs to the family of drugs known as an eye Ointment or eye medication commonly used to draw water out of the cornea of the eye. MURO 128 (eye ointment) is used to reduce swelling of the surface of the eye (cornea) in certain eye conditions. Decreassing swelling of the cornea may lessen eye discomfort or irritation caused by the swelling. MURO 128 (eye ointment) works by drawing fluid out of the cornea to reduce swelling. MURO 128 (eye ointment) is generally used to:

• Draw water out of the cornea of the eye.
• Provide temporary relief of corneal edema.
• To help reduce the associated symptoms of corneal edema.
• MURO 128 (eye ointment) may also be used for relieve other conditions that may be determined by your doctor.

Read all directions on the product package before using this medication. If your doctor has prescribed this medication, use as directed by your doctor. MURO 128 (ointment) is recommended for use under a doctor's direction. If your condition worsens, if it persists for more than 3 days, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.

• Apply MURO 128 (eye ointment) to the eye as directed in the product package.
• When wearing contact lenses, remove them before using MURO 128 (eye ointment). You will need to wait at least 15 minutes before replacing your contact lenses.
• Wash your hands first before applying MURO 128 (eye ointment). To avoid contamination, do not touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
• For easier flow, it is recommended to roll the ointment tube in your hands for a minute.
• Tilt your head back, look upward, and gently pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place a 1/4-inch (0.6-centimeter) strip of ointment into the pouch. Gently close the eye and roll the eyeball in all directions to spread MURO 128 (eye ointment). Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.
• Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed. Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a clean tissue to remove extra medication before recapping it
• When using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait 5 to 10 minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the drops to enter the eye.
