DDAVP NASAL SPRAY (DESMOPRESSIN)

Desmopressin is a Prescription Medicine.

In case of Hemophilia A and von Willebrand's Disease, the Desmopressin Acetate Injection dose should be 4 mcg per ml taken intravenously.
In case of Diabetes Insipidus Desmopressin Acetate Injection dose should be 4 mcg per ml. The initial dosage in adults is 2mcg to 4 mcg every day taken intravenously.

Desmopressin is used for the treatment of Hemophilia A, Willebrand's disease and Diabetes Insipidus

• Desmopressin should not be used by breast feeding mothers. It may cause harm to the unborn baby.
• It is unknown whether children under the age of 12 should be given DDAVP to treat Diabetes Insipidus. The same should be consulted with the doctor before using the medication.
• Desmopressin should not be given to infants.
• Liquid intake should be minimal a person is on DDAVP medication.
• Patients who have Willebrand's disease type2, elevated blood pressure and/or chronic respiratory infections and impaired pancreatic function should not use this medication.

The Desmopressin NASAL SPRAY is to be used in the nose only. The liquid should not enter the mouth.
In case of DDAVP INJECTIONS, they should not be used if the liquid is hazy, there is alteration in the color or there are suspended particles in it.

Human body has got a natural hormone called Arginine Vasopressin. Desmopressin is its complement and it ensures proper functioning of all the body parts. It helps in proper blood circulation, maintaining the blood pressure, maintaining intestinal movements and proper functioning of the kidney.
Desmopressin is also used for the treatment of blood-coagulation disorders ( hemophilia ), Willebrand\'s disease, urine disorder DIABETES INSIPIDUS. DDAVP comes in the form of INJECTIONS, NASAL SPRAY and tablets. Desmopressin is the generic of DDAVP.

If a person is on DDAVP medication, he should lessen the intake of liquids. It is possible that the body water gets stupefied or simulated and the patient may get fits. Although the chances of this occurrence are bleak.
If the patient has fluid disfunction in the body he should not BUY Desmopressin or use it cautiously.
Patients with high blood pressure should use it cautiously.

Desmopressin must be taken with a glass of water and at same time each day. It should not be taken more than prescribed by the doctor
The Desmopressin INJECTION should be administered into the vein. The syringe should not be injected into the body muscles.
