General information:
Gleevac is used to treat certain forms of cancer. Generically known as Imatinib, it is eminently used to for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia also known as CML for short. CML is a form of leukemia characterized by the increased and unregulated growth of predominantly myeloid cells in the bone marrow and the accumulation of these cells in the blood.
