The recommended dosage is one intrauterine system (Mirena) inserted into uterus for up to 5 years. One tablet (Plan B) P.O. within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, with second tablet taken 12 hours after first tablet.

Mirena is used as an oral or subdermal contraceptive.

• Mirena should be used cautiously in patients suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
• Plan B should be used cautiously in patients having Coagulopathy and the ones receiving anticoagulants.
