PREMARIN (CONJUGATED ESTROGENS)

The dose of Premarin in case of post menopausal symptom treatment should be 0.3 mg - 1.25 mg tablet every day. In case of treatment of Osteoporosis, the dose should be 0.625 mg tablet every day.

Premarin is used for the treatment of Post Menopausal symptoms such as vaginal itching, dryness and hot flashes. It is also used for the treatment of Osteoporosis.

• Premarin can lead to the cancer of uterus.
• If Premarin is used for a longer period of time, it may cause heart stroke.
• Pregnant women should not use this medication as it may cause birth defects.
• Breast feeding mothers should also avoid using Premarin as it may pass into the breast milk and may cause harm to the baby

• Premarin should not be used if the person has excessive bleeding in the vagina.
• It should not be used by people suffering from or who have had suffered from uterus cancer or any other cancer.
• Persons who have had a brain attack in the past should also avoid the use of this medicine.
• People who are allergic to Premarin or its ingredients should not use it.
• Pregnant women should also avoid its usage.
• Breastfeeding mothers should not use this medication without their doctor's advice.

Premarin is used to treat post menopausal symptoms such as dryness in vagina, vagina itching, hot flashes, excessive sweating. Premarin consists of a cluster of artificially prepared female hormones called Estrogen. It is also used to treat a bone disease called Osteoporosis which affects the women after they have reached their menopause. Premarin is available in the form of tablets, Premarin cream, injections and vagina Rings.

Premarin should not be used if the person using it has had a brain attack in the past, breast cancer, Uterus cancer, Excessive bleeding of vagina. It should not be used by pregnant women or who plan to become pregnant while on this medication.
The usage of this medication for a longer period of time can also cause Uterus cancer.
Using Premarin for a longer duration can also cause breast cancer or a brain attack. It is recommended to visit the doctor on a regular basis while this treatment is on. It is also suggested to check your breasts regularly to notice any lump formation.

• antidepressants like amitriptyline (Elavil, Etrafon), amoxapine (Asendin), clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), doxepin (Sinequan), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), protriptyline (Vivactil), or trimipramine (Surmontil)

Premarin should be taken with a glass of water and can be taken with food or without it. Premarin Drug should be taken the way it has been prescribed by the doctor. It should not be taken in a more or a lesser quantity than precsribed. People who are on this medication should get their check up done regularly.
