Premarin is used to treat post menopausal symptoms such as dryness in vagina, vagina itching, hot flashes, excessive sweating. Premarin consists of a cluster of artificially prepared female hormones called Estrogen. It is also used to treat a bone disease called Osteoporosis which affects the women after they have reached their menopause. Premarin is available in the form of tablets, Premarin cream, injections and vagina Rings.

Premarin should not be used if the person using it has had a brain attack in the past, breast cancer, Uterus cancer, Excessive bleeding of vagina. It should not be used by pregnant women or who plan to become pregnant while on this medication.
The usage of this medication for a longer period of time can also cause Uterus cancer.
