Wellbutrin SR is a medicine used to treat patients suffering from a condition of feeling sad or despondent. This condition is called Depression. It is a psychiatric disorder characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, loss of appetite, anhedonia, feelings of extreme sadness, guilt, helplessness and hopelessness, and thoughts of death. It is also known as clinical depression.
Every tablet of Wellbutrin SR contains Bupropion hydrochloride.
Important facts about Wellbutrin SR:
Wellbutrin SR can cause severe fits or increase the severity of fits in patients who already suffer from them. If the dosage is high ( 300 - 450 mg per day ) it may increase more.
There are other conditions which may increase the risk of fits like previous history of fits or emotional damage, cardinal signs of inflammation, Liver damage or liver disease.

Wellbutrin SR Drug Interactions:
- Antidepressants like MAO inhibitors, such as phenelzine and tranylcypromine
- Antipsychotic drugs like chlorpromazine
- Cocaine
- Diabetes medicines, including insulin
- Opiates like heroin and morphine
- Sedatives, including benzodiazepines like alprazolam
- Steroid medications like prednisone
- Stimulants, including over-the-counter diet drugs
- Theophylline
